What is National Precinct Alliance?
- NPA is a non-profit civics related educational organization
- Our ideological foundation is the Charters of Freedom
- We are non-partisan, with no direct connection or loyalty to any political party
- We focus 100% on individual precinct level engagement in the political process
- We teach precinct civics 101
- Nearly 50% of GOP precinct chairs were vacant in 2008
- Nearly 30% of DNC precinct chairs were vacant in 2008
- Only Democrats can hold DNC power – only Republicans can hold GOP power
- Independents invite themselves out of the primary process at the precincts
- We encourage independents to get off the fence and get in get in the game
- All politics are LOCAL and PERSONAL
- The people’s political control is at the precinct
- We teach republicans, democrats, independents, all the above
- The rules are different state to state – party to party – sometimes county to county
- The national committees do not control the precincts
- The precincts control the national committees
- Precincts decide who wins primaries
- Precincts decide party platforms and policy positions
- NPA is non-partisan because the Charters of Freedom are non-partisan
- We are loyal to no political party
- NPA takes no position on the issues – the people should decide at the local level
- We are building a nationwide online learning and communication network
- We have state coordinators in every state
- We have county coordinators in every county
- People can pursue a precinct chair on their own, but why would they? – there is strength in numbers
- People acting alone have only the power of their single vote
- NPA members have the power of a national organization with a common goal & strategy
- Factionalized efforts on the ground create counter-productive turf wars on the ground
- NPA is in competition with no other organization
- NPA has only one goal, instruct individuals on how to unite the people in power at the precinct
- We endorse no other precinct strategy or organization
- We welcome all Tea Party, 912, We the People and Town Hall folks
- We reject all efforts at partisan top-down control of the precinct process
- You represent the voters in your precinct (neighborhood). When you introduce yourself as their "Precinct Executive," You can provide them with information on candidates and issues. You are their closest representative to government. The people in your precinct are your constituents. You represent them.
- The elected officials represent you, the Precinct Executive, and you represent the people. Candidates and elected officials will look to you for "your" support because they actually represent you... not the people. Since a Precinct Executive represents, on average, 1500 voters, and has the power to vote for other Party officials and decide candidate endorsements, any call or letter from a Precinct Executive gets the attention of elected officials.
- The Precinct Executive position can also act as a launching pad for other offices.
- The Precinct Executive has a direct influence over Party Platform, Policies, selection of Candidates, and Endorsements. You determine the future of America! You are the leaders of the American people!
- The Precinct Executive holds "The Most Powerful Office in the Land!"
